In periods of heavy rain the storage tank can overflow and the excess rainwater must be drained away. The AquaBlok® is an ideal solution for draining of excess rainwater collected from the roof where there are no storm drains, watercourse or sewers for runoff.
Made from high quality polyethylene the 150 l AquaBlok® weighs 8 kg, is easy to transport and withstands vertical load up to 2,5 t/sq m. The package comprises two AquaBloks with an almost ideal 54 cm cube design and a geotextile fabric to prevent water and grit from getting into the boxes. The system effectively enables sinking of the rainwater collected in the infiltration boxes into the surrounding ground. The package of two AquaBloks and a geotextile fabric can drain up to 50 sq m of the roof. Bigger roof areas require additional AquaBlok modules.
AquaBloks withstanding vertical load up to 15 t/sq m are available on request.

AQUABLOK DRAINAGE SYSTEM INSTALLATION
Prior to AquaBlok® installation a semipermeable geotextile fabric must be disposed in the trench. Please observe the ground parameters (permeable, semipermeable or impermeable ground) and roof area's water catchment yield (according to the roof size and geographic location of the building).
Several pieces of AquaBlok® can be installed in an upright or horizontal position. After installing and connecting with rainwater pipe to the storage tank the whole unit is tightly wrapped in the geotextile fabric and covered with earth. AquaBlok® can also serve for rainwater infiltration when the rainwater storage tank is not provided.
